#ootd - Red Romper with Black Hat

Gazing at one of my favorite paintings, Inner Lhamo Waterfall, by Pat Steir. It is "in reference to the sacred Tibetan lake, Lahmo Latso." I love art with a spiritual meaning. I like to utilize a dripping, pouring and splattering technique in my own paintings and feel that that is also why I am drawn to this one. Finding Neverland at the Dr. Phillips Center in Downtown Orlando

An old friend of mine was back from his deployment and we wanted to go and see a show. At first he thought that Finding Neverland would be more like the Disney movie but it was actually a musical about the life of J.M. Barrie, who wrote Peter Pan. The writer's life somewhat mirrored the book, or rather vice versa. He befriended a widow who had a bunch of sons, who inspired the book Peter Pan. Exploring Tarpon Springs, Florida

Tarpon Springs is a sleepy little Greek town near Tampa, Florida. It has the most amazing Greek food and a fascinating history. Known as the "sponge capital of the world," the town's economy used to subsist of sponge diving. It was about an hour's drive from Orlando to Tarpon Springs, a little bit past Tampa. Exploring Orlando Florida: Finding the iconic Orlando Loves painting

There was a beautiful art opening at the Mennello Museum of Art downtown. I was super excited to find the popular "Orlando Loves" painting inside. It had been an elusive quest of mine to find it and be photographed next to it. The painting below was my favorite from that evening. The Closing of Wet n' Wild on iDrive Orlando

Taken when passing by the area that used to be the popular water park Wet N' Wild. It was closed by Universal to make way for the Volcano Bay Water Park. Exploring Orlando Florida: Lake Eola Park

From my photoshoot at Lake Eola in Downtown Orlando. I'm wearing a dress by Betsey Johnson, one of my favorite designers. Cruise from Port Canaveral, Florida to the Bahamas

We traveled from Orlando to Port Canaveral, driving an hour to board the Majesty of the Seas, a Royal Caribbean cruise ship. From one of my first photoshoots. This took place in Downtown Orlando in Lake Eola Park. It's a beautiful location with lots of great places to shoot. It was a gorgeous day out with just a few picturesque clouds.
