I spent the holidays with my mom, boyfriend and his family in lovely Sarasota, Florida. We had a cookout on the beach and it was still a beautiful day in the Florida winter and it was a great beach for finding shells. I have a glass covered coffee table filled with shells I and my family have collected over the years, it is truly unique and beautiful, and serves as a keepsake of all the family trips to the beach, and this year I added some new shells with my boyfriend. My boy

Dining at the Everglades
I tried dinner at The Everglades. My mom and I had wanted to try this place for a long time, and it lived up to its reputation. The decor is decidedly Floridian, and the food is definitely upscale. It is located right on I Drive, practically across the street from the Orlando Convention Center. They are known as a steakhouse and also feature local Florida sourced seafood such as grouper and shrimp. #Orlandofood #Food #Orlandofoodblogger #Orlandofoodblog #Foodblog #Floridafood

Honored to be a food judge at @iqgastronomic! Held at the beautiful @celebration_gardens in Winter Park, Florida, there were many local chefs, bakers and caterers and food trucks showcasing the amazing food that Orlando has to offer. A panel of local food bloggers judged the paella challenge between three amazing chefs. They were all so good it was hard to choose! There is a deep history to paella, it originates from Spain and is different from region to region and in each fa

Dine with an Astronaut
My boyfriend and I went to Kennedy Space Center's "Lunch with an Astronaut" and it was an enriching experience where you get to hear first hand accounts of space missions. It is in a group setting where the food is buffet style and the astronaut gives a presentation up on stage about their experiences. He had been on quite a few missions and was very insightful. The food menu includes arugula and carrot salad with lemon vinaigrette, chipotle roasted cod, southern fried chicke

Carrabba’s on IDrive
Had a beautiful time at @carrabbas! A delicious family restaurant, they use the original recipes created by Carrabba himself. When I think about that evening it’s not just the amazing food, but the quality time spent with my boyfriend on an incredible night out. Something about the vibe there gave it that magic quality with the food, lighting, good service. Right now they’re running a special called Bring Homemade Home, where you can get an entree of equivalent value to your

Chronic Tacos on Sand Lake Orlando
@chronictacos has amazing fresh and flavorful food! They are a Mexican grill that just opened up a new location on Sand Lake, so it’s super close to the IDrive area! You can customize each order and there are many different kinds of meats like carnitas, beef, shrimp, mahi mahi, and they also have vegetarian options including the Beyond beef. Metro Diner's Amazing Food at their New Florida Location
Had such a good time at @metrodiner yesterday!! I got the Pulled Pork Mac Stack, which is half a pound of pulled pork over homestyle mac and cheese on a cornbread batter waffle with maple butter. Best thing ever. They were also really good at catering to food allergies and my mom found something she could eat in the chicken and fries with some veggies. The salad was fresh and flavorful with plenty of dressing, and the onion rings were crispy without any grease. For drinks we

Boca's Amazing Latin Food in Dr. Phillips
Had a fun time at @bocasgrill! Located in the Dr. Phillips area of Orlando, it brings a taste of South America to the City Beautiful. The deep fried sweet corn with cheese and bacon and cachapa tower were phenomenal, and the towering Nutella churro milkshake was divinely good. They have many different kinds of arepas to choose from, and the Arepa burger, inspired by a cheeseburger, was a favorite dish made with beef, sausage and cheese, topped off with an aioli sauce. I tried

Dunkin's New Chocolate Cherry Cold Brew
Enjoying the new Chocolate Cherry Cold Brew from @dunkin! The rich chocolatey flavor meshes well with the cherry and enhances the deep flavor of the cold brew. The slow cold brewing process takes twelve hours in small batches, and enhances the flavor of the coffee like a fine wine. Even better, right now a medium is only $2 from 2-6pm! Now is the perfect time to add Dunkin’s new Chocolate Cherry Cold Brew to your afternoon lifestyle. Definitely enjoying this coffee happy hour

Experience Japanese & Hawaiian Fusion at Hi-5 Poke and Sushi near IDrive
Had an amazing time at @hi5pokeandsushi! A one of a kind family owned place that combines Japanese and Hawaiian style and cuisine, they are conveniently located in the IDrive district of Orlando. The Korean BBQ wings are one of their most popular dishes and I can see why, with its incredible flavor and spices. They have a really unique take on nachos with tuna, avocado and spicy sauce over wonton chips, which gave it a signature salty flavor. The tonkotsu ramen is a classic t

Don Julio's Authentic Mexican Food
The food at @donjuliosmexican is phenomenal! Sitting outside gave such a nice atmosphere. The Mexican street corn was full of flavourful spices, cut by the creamy sauce poured over it, and served grilled and sizzling. The shrimp stuffed avocado was both healthy and delicious, I could eat that every day. In contrast, the fried ice cream was drool worthy and an amazing indulgent treat. Overall, would go again! Seven Seas Festival at SeaWorld Orlando
Inspired by international street food, the Seven Seas Food Festival lets you sip and sample delicious selections from all around the world. The Brazilian, Asian and Caribbean stations all had food and drink that I would love to go back and try, such as bacon wrapped plantains, bao bun sandwiches or Jamaican patties. There are also Italian, Pacific, American and Vegan stations with a medley of good selections. The Frozen Lagoon Punch was good and very sweet. It reminded me of

Sanaa: Authentic African Food at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge
Inside of the Animal Kingdom Lodge is Sanaa, an African restaurant with flavors of India. In parts of Africa, especially on the southeastern side, many people have moved there from India. They brought their traditions and food culture with them, and in the cuisine of modern Africa you experience a syncretization of traditional African foods, Indian food, and Afrikaans and English traditions. My mom and I ordered the Indian Bread Service, which features nine different spreads

This past weekend I was invited to the Dîner en Blanc. A crew of the @orlandofashionbloggers were invited as media to cover the event. Tiffany D Brown and The Fashionable Nurse were also there, it was so good to meet them in person! Everyone at the event brings their own tables, plates, food and drinks. The event provides th
