#ootd - stylish coat and boots

Styling this coat in downtown Orlando was a dreamy fashion photoshoot. We did a bunch of different outfits and this is one of my all time favorites. I worked with my friend Daniel Bastos, I used to tutor him and now he's going off to college to study photography! He did an excellent job on his first fashion blogger photoshoot. The coat is a classic by Banana Republic. It is so soft and shiny, I still own it but hardly wear it as I'm worried something will happen to it! So it

Music Video Cameo - The Adolescent Theory
I teamed up with local band The Adolescent Theory for the video for their song Memento Mori, which was released on New Years Eve. They are super talented, totally chill guys and they deserve all the success they have worked for and more. We connected over social media and the lead singer Johnny invited me to the taping of their music video. It was the first one I was involved in in front of the camera and it was a lot of fun once I started to get to know the guys and their fr

#ootd - pink dress in forest
The lighting that day was absolutely beautiful and I was feeling that mojo. I set up the camera and got some of my best shots. The dress is from FashionMia and was sewn well but was a little big on me. I ordered a medium as I typically fit an Asian size medium and an American small or extra small. The soft pink goes with the soft yet bright lighting that I was getting at that time of day. I matched it with a pink lipstick of a similar shade to keep the outfit cohesive and usi

#ootd - Concert Style
I wore this little number to a concert a while back, it is stylish and not too revealing. The boots give a bit of height while still being extremely walkable. Choosing shoes that are comfortable enough to stand in for a few hours is always a top priority when attending a concert. The hat keeps your hair from blowing into your face and helps people keep a proper distance instead of walking into you.The bright red color also stands out in lower lighting which makes you easier t

Orlando Photoshoot - Fire and Pets Charity Calendar
One of the first photo shoots I did was for the Orlando Fire and Pets calendar, created to help rescue animals. I was with the Aveda team, and the photographer was Michael Rueter from Los Angeles. The photoshoot was done outside the Orlando Fire Museum, which is a local landmark on its own. Inside of a 1926 fire station are artifacts from the fire department such as old fire engines and history of the Orlando fire department. The old station was operational until the '70's, a

DRIP - live Orlando show on iDrive
The DRIP show in Orlando, Florida on Idrive is one of my favorite local performances. This show combines dance with art as they use materials such as paint and sand during the performance. It's a really beautiful and visually stunning show, completely unique with that art house look. The venue has that underground warehouse feel, and is at first harder to locate, as it is situated behind Senor Frogs. Check them out at ilovedrip. Heads up, it is a 21+ venue. General admission

Sand Cloud Towels
Excited to receive my lovely beach towel from @sand_cloud! They donate 10% of their profits to help conserve marine life. It is lightweight yet insulating, dries quickly and doesn't get sand stuck all over it. They have many beautiful patterns to choose from. You can use my code KatrinaB25 for a discount on yours! 🌊🏖🏊🏼♀️🏄🏼♀️🏝

Hurricane Irma - The Preparation
As I write this for my blog I am by candlelight because of Hurricane Irma. We are without electricity in most of Orlando, and I hear the methodical plinking of water into a round glass from one small leak in the window. It has been a few years since Florida has had a strong hurricane, this storm is the size of the whole state. I wanted to do a shoot before the storm changed everything, and I found this amazing spot nearby. A basketball court and tennis court were overgrown ne

iHeart Radio - the signed pillar
Back when I was doing behind the scenes at photoshoots and before I was a blonde, I had the privilege of doing makeup for a staff photoshoot at the offices of iHeart Radio. The photographer, Carlos Navarro, asked me to do some test shots for him, and was generous in sending me the headshots afterwards. He was a popular radio show host in Orlando before he went on to have a reoccurring role on The Walking Dead. So many bands have signed this pillar in one of the waiting rooms

Orlando Florida Bloggers meetup - #otownbloggersquad
I started the Orlando Bloggers group a few months ago and it has blossomed past my wildest imaginings. I contacted everyone in the group to see if they were interested in forming a bloggers group so that we could all grow and support each other. I am so lucky to have so many awesome young women bloggers living in the same city, filled with creativity and drive, and felt that we should all get to know each other. I am so fortunate to have all of you in my life now. Geo organiz

Downtown Orlando Photoshoot
I had a shoot recently with my friend Alex in downtown Orlando, it was our first shoot together. I met her at the Meet + Muse event the month before at the Orlando Museum of Art. I'll do a post about that event soon, it was excellent to browse their collections and meet some local instagrammers and photographers. At first I was kind of nervous because I'm used to shooting by myself with a timer or with family. She, Michelle and I shot together and explored more of downtown Or

orlando food - Sus Hi Eat Station
I got to try Su Shi Eatstation, one of the most popular Orlando cafes in the area of the University of Central Florida, and the food was fantastic. It turns the tradition of sushi into a modern quick service form. The ingredients are fresh and you can make your selections to mix and match and create your own unique creations in either a bowl, a traditional roll or in a wrap. I chose a wrap with shrimp, spicy mayo, cheese, cucumber, avocado, and other tasty ingredients and got

Orlando Foodie Event - Taste! Central Florida Fundraiser
Had a fantastic time at the Taste Central Florida event this weekend with celebritychef4u. The event is organized to help end childhood hunger in Central Florida, where one in four kids are unsure of their next meal. The event is in partnership with Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida and the Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida. I received a ticket to the event in exchange for posting on my blog and working for celebritychef4u. 🥘🌮🥗🍢 💄🙋🏼🌟

Orlando Food Event - Hawkers Asian Fare Summer Share
The food at Hawkers in downtown Orlando, Florida was amazing and was a culinary trip around Asia. Named after the street vendors that populate the streets of Asia, Hawkers serves authentic and appetizing street food from countries such as Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia and China. The evening at Hawkers started with roti canai, a South Indian style dish, followed by a tiger salad, topped with octopus with hints of sesame. The crispy chicken skewers were like a chicken bacon, fol

the start of a new era
I'm so excited to make progress with developing my brand over the past year. This started with just me taking photos with a timer on the camera outside of my house, and it has grown into so much more. I've made connections with fans, bloggers and brands and my images have been seen by hundreds of thousands of people. For the past year I've been focusing on my Facebook Page and my Instagram account. Now my goal is to focus on my website. I want to connect with others, not just

meet + muse at the orlando museum of art
I was invited to an Instagram meetup at the Orlando Museum of Art. It was a really cool experience to walk around the museum and meet other Instagrammers in person. Exploring Tarpon Springs, Florida
Tarpon Springs is a sleepy little Greek town near Tampa, Florida. It has the most amazing Greek food and a fascinating history. Known as the "sponge capital of the world," the town's economy used to subsist of sponge diving. It was about an hour's drive from Orlando to Tarpon Springs, a little bit past Tampa. We checked out the sponge shop and museum, which was interesting if you like history and culture. We ate at a restaurant called Hellas. Unfortunately none of my food pic

Exploring Orlando Florida: Finding the iconic Orlando Loves painting
There was a beautiful art opening at the Mennello Museum of Art downtown. I was super excited to find the popular "Orlando Loves" painting inside. It had been an elusive quest of mine to find it and be photographed next to it. The painting below was my favorite from that evening. It was inspired by Purple Rain by Prince, one of my favorite musical artists of all time. #KatrinaBelle #KatrinaBelleBeauty #Orlandofashionblogger #Orlandofashionbloggers #OrlandoFloridafashionblogge
