Voluminous Hair Tutorial using Rootie the Rootlifter by VOLOOM

I was sent this awesome new product called Rootie the Rootlifter by Voloom to try and I was impressed by its results. It creates volume in the hair by teasing it out with a crimping effect and seals the shape with heat. As a certified stylist I can say that it definitely works and has an ingenious design. Normally to get this kind of effect you would have to tease out the hair with a comb and hairspray it for hold. With the Rootlifter I can just plug it in and get that effect

#ootd - stylish coat and boots

Styling this coat in downtown Orlando was a dreamy fashion photoshoot. We did a bunch of different outfits and this is one of my all time favorites. Music Video Cameo - The Adolescent Theory

DRIP - live Orlando show on iDrive

The DRIP show in Orlando, Florida on Idrive is one of my favorite local performances. This show combines dance with art as they use materials such as paint and sand during the performance. It's a really beautiful and visually stunning show, completely unique with that art house look. Hurricane Irma - The Preparation

As I write this for my blog I am by candlelight because of Hurricane Irma. We are without electricity in most of Orlando, and I hear the methodical plinking of water into a round glass from one small leak in the window. Birthday at Magic Kingdom - Part 2

The fireworks show was spectacular and I want to go back again and again. It was so packed there were people staking out spots for the fireworks hours in advance. Orlando Food Event - Hawkers Asian Fare Summer Share

The food at Hawkers in downtown Orlando, Florida was amazing and was a culinary trip around Asia. Blue Bunny Ice Cream Truck

One of my favorite parts of the summer is the Blue Bunny ice cream truck. It's a quick sweet treat that you can customize to make your own. Finding Neverland at the Dr. Phillips Center in Downtown Orlando

An old friend of mine was back from his deployment and we wanted to go and see a show. At first he thought that Finding Neverland would be more like the Disney movie but it was actually a musical about the life of J.M. Barrie, who wrote Peter Pan. The writer's life somewhat mirrored the book, or rather vice versa. He befriended a widow who had a bunch of sons, who inspired the book Peter Pan. Exploring Tarpon Springs, Florida

Tarpon Springs is a sleepy little Greek town near Tampa, Florida. It has the most amazing Greek food and a fascinating history. Known as the "sponge capital of the world," the town's economy used to subsist of sponge diving. It was about an hour's drive from Orlando to Tarpon Springs, a little bit past Tampa.
