The annual Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot has always been one of my favorite Disney events. Ever since I was a kid I was fascinated with learning the different kinds of plants and growing them in my parent's backyard. My favorite elective class in middle school was horticulture because I got to spend time in the school greenhouse making things grow. As I got older my parents and I started a vegetable garden of our own that proved to be very fruitful. I'm definitely a nature person!
One of my favorite parts of the festival this year was the butterfly garden. They hatched what looked like over fifty butterflies and the enclosed garden was filled with dozens of butterflies drinking from their favorite flowers.
What better way to celebrate the weekend of Earth Day than at the Flower and Garden Festival? One cool addition this year were the new good and drink kiosks placed around the park like at the Food and Wine Festival. I'm definitely going back to taste the Florida themed booth.
