This past weekend I was invited to the Dîner en Blanc. A crew of the @orlandofashionbloggers were invited as media to cover the event. It's a secret dinner party event where everyone dresses up in white. The event began thirty years ago in Paris and has grown into a worldwide phenomenon.
Tiffany D Brown and The Fashionable Nurse were also there, it was so good to meet them in person!
Everyone at the event brings their own tables, plates, food and drinks. The event provides the venue and live music entertainment. In Florida you order any alcoholic beverages through the event and pick them up once you reach the location.
When it's time for dinner everyone waves their napkin in the air to music.
The event was held at a secret location that was only disclosed about one hour before. It was revealed to be in Cranes Roost Park in Altamonte. It was right on the water and had beautiful lighting during the day and a glorious sunset. It was a good idea to hold it in a larger park because 1300 people showed up.
We had a special media table that was closer to the stage that had complimentary snacks such as cheese and meats and champagne. Their champagne sponsor was OneHope, a charity company that makes wine and champagne. It was very good, and the waiter was very courteous.
The OG squad of me, Joan and Lulu were reunited for the all white party.
There was a wonderful live performance by Sisaundra Lewis. She is a Floridian and has been on the singing competition show The Voice on Blake Shelton's team. She is amazing live and her band played some jazzy tunes. At night everything got lit up and the crowd had a magical sparkler moment to music.
The squad had an amazing time at Diner en Blanc! Looking forward to next year!
