Central Florida Ballet's The Nutcracker

Central-Florida-Ballet-The-Nutcracker

Nutcracker season is starting soon! The holiday ballet is a classic audience favorite featuring an Alice in Wonderland style story about a little girl named Maria who is given a nutcracker doll by her mysterious Uncle Drosselmeyer. The nutcracker comes to life and she helps him and his army of toy soldiers battle the evil Rat King and his legion of minion rats. After the battle he turns into a prince who brings her to his magical kingdom, the Land of the Sweets.I will be in the audience for Central Florida Ballet’s performance of the Nutcracker on December 15th.Use code “INSTA” for 30% off your ticket!💃🐀⚔️🤴🏼👧🏽🍭🍬👑

This is the dress I decided to wear to the ballet, by Christian Siriano.

After the show they were kind and offered to let me and my boyfriend take a look backstage for a moment. It felt good to be back on a stage, even as a spectator! The ballet itself was lovely, and featured the original choreography that I remembered seeing a long time ago. The guest star was Dusty Button, and I remember when she won the Youth America Grand Prix in the same year I made it to the final round in New York City. I am a fan of hers and it was cool to see her perform live again. The show that evening was a beautiful adaptation of the Russian version of the ballet. It was a trip down memory lane, as I used to do ten to twenty shows or more every year, and have performed many different parts in the ballet over the years. Thank you Central Florida Ballet for inviting me to the show. 🎟🎟🎁🎀💃🏼🌹
